ABOUT KATE HENLEY

“I’m fascinated by the ability of the needle to calm the nervous system and allow the body a natural healing pathway.”

Kate holds a BSc in Acupuncture from the University of Westminster and has been in private practice since 1998. She is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council and is the Chair of the Acupuncture Childbirth Team in Hertfordshire.

Kate is a holistic practitioner, using acupuncture, massage, and dietary therapy as part of her treatment. She remains curious about what puts the body out of balance and causes ‘dis-ease’ and in particular the role of how emotions affect our physical well-being. Kate provides acupuncture for all conditions and has a special interest in women’s health.

Through healing experiences either as an individual or in groups, My intention is to inspire and empower individuals to health.”

Kate has always been passionate about supporting women through transitional stages of life; with their hormonal health, fertility, pregnancy, childbirth and through menopausal journeys. In 2012 she set up a multi-bed unit at the NHS Lister Hospital in Stevenage to offer low-cost care to women in pregnancy.

Later in her career, Kate developed a passion for passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of acupuncturists. She has over a decade of experience providing supervision and mentoring to acupuncturists and all therapeutic healthcare professionals. In recent years, Kate has been lecturing to aspiring acupuncturists at the City College of Acupuncture in London. Here she also provides post graduate training to students and new acupuncturists, helping them to become resilient healthcare individuals.

Outside of teaching, Kate provides workshops in London to promote the importance of seasonal eating and living, providing tools to live in tune with nature in order to optimise health. Starting in 2022, Kate will be offering retreats to the beautiful Greek seaside, encouraging people to rediscover their natural rhythm and health.

A new range of The Way of Living products, all designed and manufactured by Kate Henley to support well being and building long term success in changing health habits, will be launched shortly.
